Although this treatment is marketed with positive reviews and a following of people who testify to its effectiveness, it has other issues about it that needs a bit more rethinking. First, it is still limited in its treatment of acne. It addresses two of the several factors that contribute to acne, hyperactive sebaceous glands and bacteria. The other factors are genetics, hormonal imbalance, poor hygiene, poor nutrition, stress and skin allergies.

Second, it claims to make bacteria inactive. It can do this but not all the time because bacteria that cause acne may come from anywhere and naturally lives in human skin. Third, it also claims to make the sebaceous glands shut down. This can’t be because the sebaceous glands are the ones responsible for our skins moisture levels and oil for the skin and hair. Without it the skin and hair becomes dry, brittle and that nothing inhibits the growth of micro-organisms on the skin.

And the last this Levulan Blue Light Acne treatment can be very expensive as it does not really guarantee no out breaks of acne after the treatment.
